The A&D Director at Diversified Energy is a strategic technical role focused on supporting acquisitions and divestitures through reservoir engineering, asset valuation, and financial modeling. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep experience in buy-side and sell-side processes, subsurface analysis, and reserves management. The role requires a strong understanding of engineering software, data analytics, and the ability to collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders.
- Lead technical evaluations for A&D transactions
- Analyze commercial data from sellers including lease operating statements, engineering databases, marketing agreements, and financial models.
- Build and maintain reserves databases using ARIES, PhDWin, and Combo Curve.
- Develop type curves, volumetric assessments, and pressure transient analyses to support asset valuation.
- Prepare and present technical materials for sellside data rooms as well as review technical materials in buyside data rooms.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to support transaction execution and strategic planning.
- Maintain and expand a network of industry contacts to identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives including development planning and portfolio optimization.- 10+ years of experience in A&D within the oil and gas industry.
- High proficiency in ARIES, PhDWin, Spotfire, and Excel-based financial modeling.
- Experience in building and managing databases and templates.
- M.Eng. in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent technical degree from an accredited university.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage clients and stakeholders effectively.
- Prolonged periods working at a desk in front of a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
