3rd Shift Machine Operator

Overview

Material Sciences Corporation, a leading provider in metal laminating, is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Machine Operator to join our night shift team. This role is vital to maintaining efficient material flow in our production environment and ensuring that operations run smoothly and safely.

Schedule:

- Weeks 1 & 2: Monday through Saturday (6 days)

- Week 3: Monday through Thursday (4 days)

- This 3-week cycle then repeats

- Pay Structure: First 8 hours paid at regular hourly rate, remaining 4 hours per shift paid as overtime, after 40 hours paid as overtime.

Key Responsibilities

- Supply production lines with necessary raw materials

- Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks

- Prepare and manage bills of lading and packing slips

- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, drum trucks, strap breakers, micrometers, and small hand tools

- Maintain an organized and clean workspace in accordance with safety and operational standards

Qualifications

Required:

- Previous experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse setting

- Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment

- Familiarity with RF scanners and basic inventory tracking

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

Preferred:

- Valid Forklift Certification

- Working knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.15 - $25.17 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 72 per week
