The Machine Operator is responsible for operating machinery, performing inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and assisting with rework when needed. The role requires adherence to detailed work instructions (DWI), maintaining a clean work environment, and collaborating with supervisors and co-workers to meet production targets.
- Operate machines according to Detailed Work Instructions (DWI) and production schedules.
- Inspect and process parts as instructed to maintain quality standards.
- Complete Operator Production Sheet (Form FPR-01) accurately.
- Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on machines as needed.
- Assist in reworking and repacking parts under supervisor guidance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including break rooms, restrooms, parking areas, and grounds.
- Honor scheduled break times, including travel time to and from presses.
- Maintain professional working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and management.
- Assist in giving breaks to other operators as instructed.
- Meet daily production quotas and adhere to all OJT/DWI instructions for all parts.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to stand for at least 8 hours per shift.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
