In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Ammonia Crystallization, Oxygen and Utility plants, with a focus on improving operational efficiency and product quality. You’ll collaborate closely with both operations and maintenance teams while effectively communicating plant conditions. As you receive training and experience in other areas of our site, you’ll apply your troubleshooting skills and have the opportunity to mentor Power Engineer Trainees. - Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Ammonia Crystallization, Oxygen and Utility plants
- The Chief Power Engineer or Power Engineer supervisor will assign other duties as required
- Successful candidate will be required to be trained in the operation of the Sulfuric Acid Plant
- Strive for continuous improvement in operation efficiency and product quality
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
- Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and electronic communication to relay information regarding condition of plant
- Maintaining an accurate shift log
- Ability to work with both operations and maintenance departments
- Ability to operate in a leadership role when needed
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in higher than normal heat conditions (up to 40C)
- Must possess elite troubleshooting skills and strive for continuous improvement of process

- 14 day in/14 day out rotating schedule
- Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside or normal working hours may be required

Fly Day – This position will fly in and out on Wednesday
Pick-Up Points: Saskatoon, Prince Albert, La Ronge, Buffalo Narrows and the designated communities in the Athabasca region of Uranium City, Stony Rapids, Fond du Lac, and Wollaston.

- Must have completed grade 12
- Possession of a valid 3rd Class Power Engineer’s certificate
o Candidates with 3rd Class exams completed and working towards firing time will be considered
o Candidates with progress made towards their 2nd class will be considered
- Must have 3 or more years’ experience working with high pressure boilers in a heavy industrial atmosphere
- Ability to accept a role in training and development of Power Engineer Trainees
- Commissioning & shut down experience is considered an asset
- Experience with SAP considered an asset
- Acid Plant and Evaporator experience is considered an asset
- Preference will be given to qualified Residents of Saskatchewan’s North (RSN)
