2nd Shift Maintenance Crew Member

Jack’s Mountain (Glade Hill, VA) – 2nd Shift Maintenance Crew Member: Shift: 3pm - 3am, Monday – Thursday: SIGN-ON BONUS!:Rockydale Quarries Corporation, an established aggregate producer, is looking for a 2nd Shift Maintenance Crew Member at our Glade Hill, VA: location.

Examples of typical job duties include; safety (building/installing guards, installing or repairing handrails, steps, etc.), plant clean-up, replacement of drive components (gear boxes, motors, sheaves, v-belts, belts, belt rollers), preventative maintenance (oil changes, greasing), crusher, screen, stationary equipment repair (liners, wear components), chute repair (removing and replacing liners, patching holes), and hydraulics repair (replacing oil lines, water lines, grease lines).

Must be able to follow all safety procedures. Must be able to operate on-site stationary equipment and service trucks. Crane experience a plus. Must possess ability to use cutting torch and welder and show demonstrated heavy industrial field welding abilities. Must be mechanically inclined.

Position is in a quarry environment, and applicant must possess the ability to work in all types of weather conditions as all job tasks are performed outside. Must be able to work overtime as required by job. Hours will be Monday - Thursday, 3:00 p.m. - 3 a.m.:

Shift differential will be offered while working off-shift schedule.

Due to the nature of the position, crew member may be required to perform other duties throughout the course of the shift.

Physical requirements include visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination, standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, climbing on equipment, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, twisting, balancing, climbing on equipment, working at heights up to 350 feet, repetitive motion, and squatting - all for extended periods of time (up to 12 hours) to perform the essential functions.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must work outside in all weather conditions: heat, cold, dust, and wet a minimum of 8 hrs. per day. Work in high noise level areas while wearing proper PPE. May have exposure to dust, diesel exhaust, lubricants, solvents, various fuels, etc.
