The purpose of the network engineer internship position is to develop college students that are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer engineering, computer science, management information systems, information technology or similar field. Interns will be exposed to a variety of projects and activities that occur within a renewable energy business. Interns will have the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in college and demonstrate abilities in the workplace. The position is temporary, nonexempt, part-time/hourly.
- Document site network diagrams across all generation
- Develop monitoring system in Controls SolarWinds
- Travel to sites (if allowed) to lifecycle network switches out in the field
- Additional projects as assigned
- Must be a college student, sophomore or higher standing, currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in engineering, computer engineering, computer science, management information systems, information technology or related field
- Software skills needed to be used in extracting information from various sources, conducting analysis and assisting workforce to achieve goals
- Effective project management skill
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently
- Employment is contingent upon passing a post-offer background check and drug screen
