JOB SUMMARY

This job is in the Plant family (Department), which includes positions responsible for supervising or performing metals processing and distribution work. Work includes specialized equipment operation and/or supporting functions and requires a practical knowledge of the nature and operations and the materials, facilities and methods employed by Phoenix Metals in metals processing and distribution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Maintain clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; sweep, dust, and mop.

- Pack items for shipment on cut-to-length line with protective materials

- Operate forklift and other warehouse tools and equipment

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 0-5 years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

- High School diploma/GED preferred.

- Knowledge of basic warehousing, storage, and distribution methods and procedures

- Knowledge of basic stock inventory procedures

- Ability to learn safety rules and regulations related to warehouse operations and equipment usage

- Ability to maintain accurate warehouse and inventory files and records as assigned

- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms

- Ability to meet the physical requirements necessary to safely and effectively perform required duties

Shift: 1st shift, Monday-Friday 6a-2p

Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Warehouse/Field setting; minimal temperature environment

Quarterly bonus with earning potential up to $1500
