Job Summary
This job is in the Plant family (Department), which includes positions responsible for supervising or performing metals processing and distribution work. Work includes specialized equipment operation and/or supporting functions and requires a practical knowledge of the nature and operations and the materials, facilities and methods employed by Phoenix Metals in metals processing and distribution.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Maintain clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; sweep, dust, and mop
•Pack items for shipment on cut-to-length line with protective materials
•Operate forklift and other warehouse tools and equipment
Required and Preferred Qualifications
•0-5 years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
•High School diploma/GED preferred.
•Must possess a Valid Drivers License.
•Ability to meet current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) quality criteria as defined by Federal regulations and/or company policy required.
•Warehousing and material handling experience preferred.
•Must be able to obtain a certification to operate all required motorized material handling and rigging equipment.
•Clear oral and written communication skills, particularly legible handwriting required.
•Ability to show adequate manual dexterity, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limb coordination required.
•Ability to read and comprehend written instructions as applied to work situations required.
•Basic measurement skills, including taking, converting, and/or using measurements of length, width, height, and weight to perform basic math computations correctly required.
•Basic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions required.
•Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively required.
•Ability to make sound decisions based on a combination of factors including knowledge, experience, and judgment required.
•Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors and co-workers required.
•Responsible for assisting on the Cut-to-length machine by loading/unloading and packaging material.

Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Warehouse/Field setting; minimal temperature environment
Schedule: Monday- Friday 6a-4p
Pay starting between $18-$19/ hour. Eligible for quarterly bonus up to $1500.
