Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Work Control Planner 4 opportunity in Los Alamos, NM to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Work Location: Onsite – 100%: TA 16-969
Clearance: Q-clearance or the ability to obtain.
The Work Control Planner 4 will be assigned to preventative and corrective maintenance. This resource develops and/or reviews work packages, including time, material, and labor estimates, written step-by-step work instructions, procedures, and/or safety and testing requirements for the implementation and control of operations, maintenance, or modification of work activities within a given facility or area.
Specific planning duties may be related to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and/or radiological equipment, policies, and procedures, and may also include resolving work restraints and bringing work packages to final closure.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years of related experience; or, over 20 years of direct experience without a degree.
- Building systems expertise in boilers, HVACs (both JP), Facility system/Facility support system.
- Maintenance/or construction background (facility maintenance)
- Procedure writing and development experience
- Work Control background (in manager or planner roles)
- Certified Facility Manager is a plus
- PPA certification (Policy Procedure Writer) is desired
- DOE experience is a plus
- Experience with the following procedure writing software is a plus: Maximo Asset, Hitachi programs
- Climbing fixed ladders
