Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Planner/Scheduler opportunity in Richmond, KY.
Per diem is available for those who qualify.
The purpose of the Senior Planner/Scheduler is to perform construction schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and analysis of activities.
- Supports project organizational and administrative activities when delegated.
- Supervises planning/scheduling activities when delegated.
- Ensures work is completed as scheduled and identifies construction schedule-associated cost trends for management attention.
- Obtains required schedule information from all disciplines and functions.
- Coordinates with all departments to ensure understanding of project schedule needs.
- Responsible for total integration of schedule activities.
- Identifies restraints and their effect on the schedule.
- Identifies schedule considerations and challenges resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces.
- Monitors and reports critical path and schedule performance.
- Conducts schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine the criticality of scheduled activities.
- Recommends alternatives for schedule improvement to the project team for discussion and/or decision.
- Responsible for leading, when requested, the development and review of schedule recovery plans, including the evaluation of additional resources/costs required to affect such plans.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with at least 10-13 years of professional experience or in lieu of degree, a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 14-17 years professional experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
- Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing scheduling functions which include planning, critical path analysis, and schedule performance measurement.
- Must demonstrate good interpersonal teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Advanced level of proficiency in using Project Controls software applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and objectives.
- United States Citizenship
- Construction experience on large, complex Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) jobs.
- Previous Earned Value Management System experience on complex Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) jobs.
- Demonstrated skill in identifying and analyzing issues and recommending corrective actions.
- Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and changing priorities.
