Job Description
Responsibilities:
•Responsible for supervision of a two or three-person wireline crew at the well site or shop.
•Responsible for project design
•Responsible for maintenance and care of mobile equipment including wireline trucks, crane trucks, and other fleet vehicles.
•Responsible for maintenance and care of downhole electronic wireline instruments used for gathering geologic or well geometry data and uploaded via telemetry by electromagnetic cable to surface data acquisition and processing systems. Data is recorded and plotted as a function of depth on well logs. Some interpretation at the wellsite is required. Some Well Log analysis skills are required including formation evaluation, production logging, cement bond log, well geometry integrity, and an understanding of open-hole log interpretation.
•Proficient in the safe use of explosives and operates in compliance with API RP-67.
•Responsible for regulatory compliance of all rules, regulations, and laws in accordance with appropriate federal, state, or local enforcement agencies.
•Adherence to customer rules and policies while on customer’s property.
•Adherence to company rules, policies, and procedures.
•Responsible for quality control of log data and service quality that meets company and customer expectations.
•Communicate with customers and ensure satisfaction with well site services.
•Responsible for and demands safe operations for all individuals on the jobsite.
Qualifications
•College degree in Engineering or similar field. Job training under a senior wireline operator is also useful for this career.
•Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with HAZMAT Endorsement preferred
•Must have a clean driving record
•Must be able to pass an ATF background check
•Must be willing to submit to a DOT fingerprint test
•Current Blaster License (NYS Dept. of Labor, License & Certification)
•Knowledge of company policies, HSE standards and PSL guidelines
•Knowledge of special downhole instruments and tools such as sensors, hydraulics, pressure gauges and motors, used in oil and natural gas wells to collect and process data
•Ability to perform basic maintenance on equipment, wireline equipment, and miscellaneous equipment.
•Ability to perform basic equipment function checks in preparation for the job.
•Ability to follow the journey management process by reducing transportation-related risks.
•Ability to read, write and speak English to the extent that they can understand verbal and written instructions as well as give verbal and written instructions in English.
•Ability to use simple mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication) to make job-related calculations.
•Computer skills in Windows based operating systems.
