This is a physically demanding job with consistent heavy lifting in a climate controlled environment. Please only apply if you are comfortable working in those conditions.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday from 7am to 5:30pm with potential overtime.

General Job Description - Window Press Operator

Job Responsibilities:

•

Responsible for quality of material being produced.

•

Responsible for proper identification and marking of steel sections.

•

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the line.

•

Must know how to set up and operate raised panel presses.

•

Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of the required production documents.

•

Must know how to correctly identify the various products and produce them according to run sheets.

•

Must direct efforts of press helpers to operate press in a safe and efficient manner.

•

Must be able to coordinate the press run with upstream and downstream operations.

•

Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized.

•

Any other duties as required.

Requirements:

•

Must know how to set up and operate equipment to produce the various panels.

Physical Requirements:

•

Standing/Walking: Job requires standing throughout the entire shift. Short distance walking of 5-15 feet on a periodic basis during the shift, depending upon the position assigned.

•

Lifting/ Carrying: Job requires lifting and stacking of banded door panels to various levels. Maximum required individual lifting limit is forty-five (45 pounds). Must be able safely work with another team member to carry or lift door panels in excess of forty-five pounds. Frequency of lifting and carrying is job task dependent.

•

Pushing and Pulling: Pushing of carts is often required. Occasional pulling to steer the cart is required A force of 50lbs is required to move a loaded cart. Pushing forces required in excess of 50 lbs requires two persons.

•

Manuel dexterity: Grip small objects to cut rubber and maneuver hands/wrists in repetitive motion consistently.

Job Responsibilities:

•

Assist stagers in moving sections to assembly area.

•

Cut haircell insulation to proper size as required.

•

Install haircell insulation and retainer clips or backer sheets.

•

Move completed orders to staging area.

•

Work closely with Material Expediter and Stager to ensure appropriate inventory of supplies.

•

Assist Stagers in moving finished goods to shipping.

•

Keep work area clean and well organized.

•

Responsible for accurately identifying, counting, and tagging (labeling) the material properly by customer and for filling all orders in a timely manner to maintain ship schedules.

•

Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

•

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

•

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

•

Ability to read a tape measure

•

Must have basic computer skills
