Job Title: Welding Cobot/Robot Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Welding Cobot/Robot Supervisor oversees and coordinates the operation of robotic and collaborative welding systems in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures optimal performance, productivity, and safety of automated welding operations while leading a team of robotic technicians and weld operators. The supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining high-quality standards, minimizing downtime, and continuously improving automation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
•Supervise daily operations of robotic and cobot welding systems, ensuring efficient and accurate production.
•Lead, train, and support robotic welding technicians and operators.
•Monitor weld quality and ensure compliance with engineering specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations.
•Troubleshoot robotic systems and coordinate maintenance or repairs to minimize downtime.
•Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for welding robots and related equipment.
•Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to optimize welding parameters, robot paths, and fixture designs.
•Support the integration of new robotic welding systems and assist in commissioning and testing.
•Maintain records related to production, quality control, maintenance, and training.
•Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and cycle time optimization.
•Ensure adherence to safety policies and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in robotics, welding technology, manufacturing engineering, or related field preferred.
•Minimum [3–5] years of experience with robotic welding systems (e.g., FANUC, Miller, ABB, UR).
•Proven supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
•Strong knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, etc.), metallurgy, and robotic programming.
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
•Proficient in using HMI interfaces, teach pendants, and robotic programming software.
•Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
•Must have proven experience with welding and cobot/robot programming experience.
Working Conditions:
•Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to welding fumes, noise, and moving machinery.
•Requires standing, bending, and lifting up to [50] lbs.
•This is a working supervisor position so operating cobots/robots will be included in daily activity.
•Average working hours are 50 hours per week.
•May require occasional overtime or weekend work.
