We are currently looking to fill the position of Welder based at ourHebron, OH Service Center. This is a non-exempt, highly skilled position within the bargaining unit responsible for the construction and maintenance area of the system. An employee in this position must be able to work independently without supervision and demonstrate a high level of responsibility and follow through.
Nature and Scope of Position (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):

Education and/or Experience:* High school diploma or equivalent GED, a minimum of five years of related welding experience. Must have successfully passed all test requirements for welding certification as outlined in the company’s welding procedures and maintain annual or other re-certification requirements. Certifications, Licenses and/or Training:* Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License and good driving record. Commercial Driver’s License preferred. Language Skills:* Ability to read and interpret blueprints as required in the fabrication of metering and other gas related facilities. Ability to deal with the general public in a pleasant and courteous manner at all times. Ability to understand and follow written and/or oral instructions. Other Skills and Abilities:* Ability to operate line locators, and other tools and equipment used in the construction and repair of the utility system. Extensive working knowledge of the occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions applicable to this type of work and must be familiar with the use of protective clothing and safety equipment. Accept responsibility for the direction, control, or planning of an activity. Perform well under stress, when confronted with emergency, critical, unusual, or dangerous situations; or in situations in which working speed are critical aspects of the job.
