This position is responsible for layout and welding carbon steel and stainless-steel vessels using GMAW (MIG), FCAW (flux core) and SMAW (submerged arc) processes.
- Observe all company policies, safety policies and security procedures.
- Follow instructions given by the Production Supervisor.
- Work within company work schedule.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and properly lay out and build a pressure vessel by welding.
- Produce welds that pass visual inspection, x-ray or other nondestructive testing that is required.
- Must pass welding test as required per ASME code.
- Operate overhead crane.
- Operate a forklift.
- Use critical thinking to solve problems.
- Work well with others.
- Speak, read, and write English.
- Perform basic math.
- Ability to lift items up to 80lbs.
- The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, climb ladders.
- The employee must frequently use a ladder, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but sometimes high. Ear protection is provided.
- Indoor facility, however, may be occasionally exposed to wet, humid conditions, ambient air, hot / cold temperatures, fumes or airborne particles, traffic, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock and vibration.
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- 3 - 5 years of welding experience.

Shift hours vary with the seasonal weather conditions. Employees are expected to work the scheduled hours – normally 40 hours per week, overtime is worked as required to support production requirements.
