About This Job

The South Adams County Water & Sanitation District (SACWSD), dedicated to providing reliable, affordable and sustainable water resources and services in order to protect public health, the environment, and quality of life, is seeking a qualified individual for Water Systems Plant Maintenance.

This position maintains plant equipment and facilities associated with the District’s raw water well supplies, water treatment facilities, irrigation system, as well as distribution system reservoirs and pump stations. Duties may include:

•

Equipment and facility troubleshooting

•

Performing corrective and preventative maintenance on equipment such as:

•

Pumps, motors, blowers, drives

•

Piping

•

Ventilation/HVAC, lighting

•

Assists with general plant construction projects

•

Assists with chemical deliveries

•

Maintains plant and facilities buildings

•

Coordinated with subcontractors as necessary

Qualified candidates are required to have:

•

High School Diploma OR equivalent combination of education and experience

•

Demonstrated experience in construction, maintenance, utilities or related field

•

Solid mechanical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills

•

Effective time management and organizational skills

•

Effective communication skills

•

Proficient computer skills including MS Office, asset management and SCADA technology

•

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

•

Ability to lift up to 60 lbs frequently and work in a variety of conditions.

•

Valid, current Colorado Driver’s License

•

Class 1 Distribution Systems Certification and/or Water Operators certification desirable

Successful candidates will be required to complete a drug screen and background check prior to employment.

Hiring range dependent on qualifications:

Maintenance I $20.55 - $25.17/hr

Maintenance II $23.02 - $28.00/hr

Maintenance III $24.81 - $31.00/hr

Maintenance IV $30.02 -$40/hr
