Reports To: Water & Wastewater Operations Lead
Summary: We are looking for a dependable team player to be a part of our major meter replacement project. This temporary position will require availability for five (5) days a week for approximately nine (9) hours a day for the duration of the project, with an estimated time frame of 4-6 months. In addition to assisting with water meter installations, the selected candidate will support the Water & Wastewater Operations team by assisting with basic, day-to-day operational needs across the department.
This is a project-based, temporary position that will end once the meter replacement work is complete. There is no guarantee of continued employment after project completion.
This temporary position is eligible for health and retirement benefits in accordance with company policies and applicable state laws. Specific benefit offerings and eligibility requirements will be outlined at the time of hire and may vary based on assignment length and hours worked.
o Accurately document work performed in digital or paper systems
o Assists with the installation of residential water meters.
o Assists with maintenance and repairs of installed residential water meters.
o Interacts professionally with residents, answering basic questions about the project
o Assists with maintenance and operations of various systems for water and sewer.
o Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wastewater systems
o Inspects residential water and sewer system installations for code compliance and functionality
o Reads and assists with maintenance of water wells, water diversion structures, and water tanks.
o Tests water quality and takes water and wastewater samples for lab testing.
o Maintains, reports, and cleans up for storm drainage improvements.
o Assists with construction inspections of new water and sewer mains and service laterals.
