EPCOR’s Commercial Services group is hiring a WaterDistribution & Wastewater Collection Operator [Full-Time Permanent] to join the Commercial Operations teamworking out of Chestermere location. As a Water Distribution & Wastewater Collection Operator, you will report to the Site Manager and are accountable for the daily operations of the water and wastewater distribution, and collection (D&C) systems and laboratory testing while meeting all internal and external reporting requirements and quality standards. Additionally, you will perform assigned duties in compliance with the International Standard Organization (ISO) 14001 certified Environmental Management System that has been implemented at the Chestermere site.

What’s required to be successful

+ Water and Wastewater Technician Certificate/Diploma from a recognized educational institution will be considered an asset. + Relevant work experience at a Level II or higher certified facility is preferred. + Individuals possessing less than this level of certification may be considered at a developmental level and aspire to upgrade certification in the disciplines of Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection within 12 months of hire. + A clean driving record. with 6 or fewer demerits. + Ability to qualify for and maintain a valid EPCOR driver's permit. + A 5-year Commercial Drivers Abstract may be required at the time of hire. + We are not accepting drivers with a GDL license. + Please note that due to the nature of this position you will be required on occasion to wear a ½ mask respirator. + Demonstrable experience leading other operators will be considered an asset. + Demonstrable proficiency in using Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Power BI. + Adept at using asset management software like IVARA and City Works, control systems such as SCADA, and specialized software management systems like HACH Water Information Management System (WIMS).

Hours of work: 8 hours a day; 40 hours weekly
