Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
•High School Diploma or GED.
•Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
•Any equivalent combination of certifications, education, or experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities for the position.
Licenses, Registration, and Certifications
•Colorado Water Distribution Class 1 Certificate.
•Colorado Water Distribution Class 2 Certificate within 18 months of hire.
•Must be able to possess and maintain a valid Class ‘R’ Colorado driver’s license and have a satisfactory driving record at time of hire.

Position Summary
Under general supervision, operate the potable and non-potable water system in an efficient manner while maintaining and working within specified guidelines. Ability to operate all equipment remotely, locally, or by manual hand operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Assist in controlling the flow of treated water into and throughout the distribution system, operating feeds and regulators into and out of pressure zones.
•Monitor distribution system operation, control distribution system equipment, and operation using a PC based SCADA system.
•Provide information on emergency operating procedures in case of station shutdown or start-up. Assist in system operation to meet fire, pressure, and leak conditions.
•Gather and assist with interpreting and distributing weather and water consumption data and system condition information.
•Perform inspections, operate, and perform minor maintenance on equipment at distribution facilities.
•Assist in the development of standard operating procedures, emergency operations manuals, and facility inspection programs.
•May be required to perform on call duty, work shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as directed, and work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
•Must be able to perform safety sensitive functions.
•Perform related work as required.
