We have an exciting opportunity to join our Water team as an Asset Strategy Manager to lead a technical team to develop and implement strategic plans for our large asset base. You’ll be responsible for ensuring we have effective and achievable investment plans to guarantee that our water supplies to customers are reliable, sufficient and sustainable.

You will lead a small team of professional subject matter experts to achieve strategic asset management objectives balancing service, asset, and business requirements and develop plans that will improve our water treatment and distribution systems to cope with future growth and change. This role will understand our funding opportunities, the regulatory framework, the resources and skills required, and our asset needs.

It will identify the planning scenarios we should be working within and use horizon scanning to monitor for any changes we may need to consider that would impact our plans. By being the custodian of the Water asset strategies and standards, you will also play a crucial role in ensuring that we look after our existing assets optimally.

About You

You will ideally need to have a track record in long term asset management and strategic planning in large asset base organisations, as well as experience leading and influencing business strategy.

You will also have a broad understanding of the utility industry and external factors that can influence including political, economic, social, and technological issues.

You will also have the ability to filter, prioritise, and analyse data from internal and external sources and develop strong links with colleagues across the water industry to ensure best practice and innovative options are considered within our plans.

Initial interviews will take place on 18th and 19th September via Teams.
