Qualified applicant should possess 1) high school diploma or equivalent; 2) a combination of training and background experience related to the operation and maintenance of equipment related to the wastewater field; 3) strong computer skills; 4) a valid Kentucky driver’s license; 5) the ability to obtain and maintain a Class IV wastewater license within a reasonably designated length of time after employment with the Agency.
The applicant will 1) operate and interpret precision lab instruments and monitors while maintaining and documenting procedure requirements; 2) perform routine maintenance/checks on equipment, perform semi-skilled manual labor duties; 2) adjust and operate wastewater process and conveyance, electrical and mechanical equipment; 3) perform general housekeeping and routine building maintenance; 4) perform general labor activities as well as other assigned duties.
The applicant will be required to perform manual labor for extended periods of time; tolerate various temperatures and climates; operate internal radio system.
The Paducah McCracken Joint Sewer Agency is a 24 hour utility. This position will be required to respond to various issues outside of normal working hours. This position will be required to serve on an “on-call” basis as per a defined schedule. This position may be required to perform work during varying types of shifts.
