We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations on our second shift. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of warehouse processes, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards. - Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, ensuring effective team management
- Oversee materials handling, including receiving, storing, and shipping products
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment
- Operate forklifts and other equipment as necessary for daily operations
- Ensure warehouse personnel are assigned to the appropriate work areas throughout the working day to meet deadlines for all processes
- Monitor on an established basis, operations, procedures and employees to ensure quality, service and productivity objectives are met.
- Partner with Human Resources to recruit and hire new team members and address performance or any other personnel issues, including but not limited to corrective actions and terminations
- Assign tasks and monitoring employee performance
- Assist with training and development of new and existing employees in safety, proper work assignments, and job responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Five plus years in distribution environment, preferably steel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Organizational, leadership and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving, planning and decision-making abilities
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management
- Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Bilingual Spanish
- Experience with steel industry
