- Assist in accurately receiving and expediting material for delivery.
- Assist in accurately counting and loading material onto trailers.
- Assist in keeping warehouse appearance looking professional by sweeping and re-stacking material on racks.
- Abide by all safety rules as issued by Operations Manager/ Warehouse Manager, local, state, and federal agencies.
- Assist Operations Manager/ Warehouse Manager in maintaining accurate inventory counts within the computer system.
- Assist with physical inventories whenever deemed necessary and at fiscal year-end.
- Be available 24/7 to assist during emergency/storm situations.
- Assist in all other projects as deemed necessary by Operations Manager/ Warehouse Manager.
Approximately 70 - 80% of time is spent in assisting in shipping and receiving. Requires concentration on “task at hand” to perform duties safely and accurately.
- Forklift experience
- Typing and some computer skills
- Strong basic math skills
- Entry-level up to 3 years of experience
- CDL license
- High school diploma or equivalent
Typical warehousing environment: exposure to rain, cold, and heat. Essential functions require lifting, carrying, walking and standing for prolonged periods of time. Physical agility to lift required weight, lift horizontally and vertically, bend and stoop. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Lifting heavier material would require assistance from another employee.
Working hours may vary due to volume of work. Hours of work typically would be 8- hour days with one hour for lunch. Will be subject to overtime and being on call for the department as required.
