Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Team Lead to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delegating task to coworkers while also working side by side at times. They will also need to prioritize assignments to ensure the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. This role is crucial in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting overall logistics operations.
Duties
•
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
•
Sorting and identifying different types of metals (training will be provided).
•
Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and storage areas.
•
Move products to designated areas within the warehouse, ensuring proper placement for easy access.
•
Learn to use specific software to assist customers and tag material.
•
Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
•
Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels and assist with inventory control processes.
•
Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and enhance operational efficiency.
•
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
•
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Requirements
•
Proven experience in warehouse management or materials handling is preferred.
•
Familiarity with distribution center operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
•
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
•
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to manage tasks effectively within a team environment.
•
Valid forklift experience; candidates must be able to demonstrate safe operating practices.
•
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate inventory records.
•
Ability to learn specific software/specialized equipment for this industry (training provided).
