Warehouse Lead

Position Purpose

- Assure all orders ship out on a daily basis according to the customer’s requests and specifications.

- Mange workload to maintain an efficient shipment’s flow

- Make sure all finish goods are accurately labeled

- Provide all necessary training to all personnel

- Maintain high 5’s standards

- Ensure that all company policies and safety rules are followed

Position Summary

- Closely monitor customer service and customer’s email requests or changes.

- Maintain a one shipment flow in dock floor to avoid shipping errors

- Manage personnel to maintain an efficient workflow on all customer’s shipments

- Update all area’s work instructions and DCPROs when required

- Report and help solve any quality or inventory discrepancy

- Report all violations of policies or DC procedures to HR, Supervisor or Distribution Center Manager.

- Read and comprehend procedure documentation such as DCPROs, WIs, training records, customer specifications, CS shipping instructions

- Assure all team members arrive on time, follow break and lunch schedules, and stay within the scheduled time frames.

- Train all new temporary or permanent personnel on all OEM staging, labeling, scanning check and shipping procedures

- Generate daily work schedule plan and oversee it is completed as planned

- Ensure all shipment paperwork are completed correctly

- Review shipment’s pick slips and work with CS to correct any issue

- Assure all shipments pick-ups are scheduled in a timely manner

- Assign employees to assist in receiving and put away activities

- Other duties as assigned.

SPECIFIC TYPES OF KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:

- 3 years in warehouse operations experience

- Communication and leadership skills

- Ability to read, comprehend and explain written instructions and procedures

- KAIZENs experienced preferred

- 1 years or more of forklift driving experience and have current Forklift Certification

- Intermediate Computer skills in excel, word, power point, carrier tracking, customer portal shipment scheduling

- Experience in inventory management and record keeping skills

- Flexible working hours

- Bilingual, English/Spanish.

Principal Accountabilities

- Ship Confirm and invoice all sales orders shipped to company’s customers.

- AIAG labels all boxes when shipment requires it.

- Place boxes and/or packages of process order in proper carrier skid or truck.

- Other duties as assigned

Work Environment

Colleague will be exposed to moderate noise levels. Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold. High forklift traffic.

Physical Requirements

Colleague must be able to work standing, frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, pushing and pulling of parts, lift up to 50 lbs. Move boxes 50% of the time or more.
