Position Summary:
The Tools & Equipment Clerk is responsible for managing the inventory, tracking, maintenance, and calibration of all shop tools and equipment. This role requires proficiency in asset tracking technologies across mobile and desktop platforms, attention to detail, and physical capability to handle heavy tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
•Maintain accurate inventory of all tools and equipment through regular audits and reconciliations
•Identify, label, and track tools using asset tracking systems and applications (mobile, tablet, and desktop-based) at a high level of proficiency.
•Log and manage maintenance schedules, repair records, and calibration data for tools and equipment within the software tracking database.
•Ensure all tools are in safe and operable condition and meet calibration standards.
•Check tools in and out to personnel and jobsites, ensuring accountability and condition verification. Including but not limited to Prepare outgoing tool and equipment field request from active jobs in the field.
•Report damaged, lost, or malfunctioning tools and coordinate timely repairs or replacements.
•Own the organization and cleanliness of all tool storage areas.
•Run local deliveries and errands as needed.
•Install GPS equipment and cameras in Fleet Vehicles
•Track equipment calibration
•Maintain inbound and outbound process
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or GED required
•Minimum 2 years of experience in a tool crib, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred
•Proficient in the use of asset tracking software and mobile applications (e.g., iOS/Android, iPads, desktop portals)
•Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.
•Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
•Must have a mechanical aptitude.
•Strong communication skills
•Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
•Must have a clean driving record
•Knowledge of basic tool types, functions, and basic mechanical systems
•Capable of safely lifting and handling items weighing 50 lbs. or more
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
•Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
•Exposure to industrial noise and shop environment conditions
•Exposure to weather conditions
Must use proper PPE as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.50 per hour
