Job Summary:
The Warehouse Associate at Colorado Powerline Inc. plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials, tools, and equipment to support our electric utility construction projects. This position involves managing inventory, organizing the warehouse, and preparing supplies for field operations in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
Responsibilities
•Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments of electrical components, tools, and construction materials. Maintain accurate inventory records using our warehouse management software.
•Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting, adhering to Colorado Powerline’s safety standards.
•Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and stage materials and tools for delivery to job sites across Colorado, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of project needs.
•Warehouse Organization: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA and company safety regulations. Properly store sensitive electrical materials to prevent damage.
•Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and hand tools, to ensure operational efficiency.
•Coordination: Work closely with field crews, project managers, and procurement staff to prioritize material availability for powerline construction and maintenance projects.
•Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
•Documentation: Track shipments, inventory levels, and material disbursements. Report any discrepancies, damaged goods, or low stock levels to the warehouse supervisor.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or GED.
•1-2 years of warehouse experience, ideally in construction, electrical, or utility industries.
•Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
•Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry (experience with warehouse management systems is a plus).
•Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in a dynamic environment.
•Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
•Familiarity with electrical materials (e.g., conductors, insulators, or pole-line hardware) is preferred.
•Valid Colorado driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred.
Work Conditions:
•Work is primarily performed in a warehouse environment in Denver, with occasional outdoor tasks in varying Colorado weather conditions (e.g., cold winters, hot summers).
•May require occasional overtime or weekend work to support urgent project deadlines.
•Use of PPE is mandatory, and compliance with safety protocols is non-negotiable.
