Warehouse Associate 2nd Shift

General Summary To perform all warehouse functions including preparing shipments unloadingloading trucks driving and assisting Operations Personnel The regular schedule for this position is Sunday through Thursday from 430 pm to 1200 am Or when work is completed However the candidate must be open and flexible for day or night shift; Sunday through Saturday Primary Responsibilities and Duties Work with Lead Warehouse person to ensure uninterruptible supply for our customers in a timely and safe mannerUnload and load product in and out of intercompany package and bulk trucks for next business days orders The evening shift employees priority will be preparing orders for the next day including loading and unloading trucksFollow proper SOP for loading unloading and flushing truckstrailers Pull and stageload the next days orders using a handheld device to locate and pull products accurately Operate a vehicle on McPhersons sites in a manner compliant with company policy and procedure and compliant with DOTPerform drumming requirements and other repackaging products within company guidelines to meet customers needs as necessaryParticipate in shift opening meetings and contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing proceduresPrepare complete and submit required paperwork by the end of each shiftCommunicate with all Operations Personnel Dispatchers Fleet Maintenance Manager and assist them as requiredOperate stock management tools; for example a forklift pallet jacks etcPerform cycle counts and keep inventory records as necessary Help maintain a clean and safe facility Report any accidents spills or other problems to the manager immediately Ensure the facility is properly shut down including locking all doors and gates at the end of the shift Complete other duties and projects as assigned by managementPosition Requirements Minimum high school diploma or equivalentPrevious warehouse experience fillingpackagingpickingMust be at least 21 years oldPrevious experience operating warehouse equipment including forklifts stand up and sit down pallet jacks cherry pickers etcKnowledge of procedures to secure cargo in or on a commercial vehicleAbility to successfully complete the forklift certification testPosition Competencies Ability to work in a fast paced environment while performing multiple duties and tasks Ability to work independently as well as with a teamAbility to follow company safety and quality procedures and guidelines consistently Proven ability to complete position responsibilities within the allotted timeframe Produces a caliber of work consistent with departmental operating standards Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy Ability to work efficiently Effectively represents the company and is responsive to the needs of internalexternal customers Working knowledge of a WHS and handheld technology Working Environment The work of this position is performed in both inside and outside environments in heatcold wethumid and dryarid conditions The position requires the ability to lift push and pull up to 50lbs Frequent bending stooping and climbing are also required In this position associates may be exposed to hazardous materials vapors fumes and extreme weather conditions Proper PPE is provided for employees working in these conditions The job description of the Warehouse Associate 2nd Shift is not inclusive and is subject to changes additions and deletions as determined by the supervisor The McPherson Companies Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer MFVetsDisabled
