Yampa Valley Electric Association is seeking a strategic leader to oversee Member Experience, Communications, and Information Technology in Northwest Colorado.
As VP of Member Experience and Technology Services, you'll be responsible for integrating technology, communications, and service operations to deliver exceptional member experiences across all touchpoints. You'll lead teams that ensure every member interaction reflects our cooperative values while driving digital transformation that meets evolving expectations. You'll serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, translating organizational strategy into actionable plans that position YVEA as both an employer of choice and trusted partner to our members.

- Political savvy executive who navigates organizational dynamics and builds strong peer relationships- 10+ years executive leadership experience with multi-departmental oversight across member/customer experience, technology, and communications functions - 5+ years in senior management roles with proven ability to integrate diverse departments into cohesive operations
- Demonstrated success leading digital transformation, IT strategy, and enterprise systems through expert teams
- Track record building high-performing teams and leading organizational change
- Experience with member/customer experience design, brand management, and crisis communications
- Strong financial acumen managing significant budgets and demonstrating ROI on technology investments
- Experience presenting to boards of directors and providing strategic guidance to executive leadership
- Executive-level technology fluency in IT operations, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, and digital platforms
- Electric utility operations experience; cooperative experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Communications, or related field (advanced degrees advantageous). Equivalent experience at a senior level will be considered.
- Develop integrated strategies aligning member services, communications, and technology with organizational goals.
- Oversee member experience across all channels and billing operations.
- Lead internal and external communications, media relations, and brand reputation.
- Provide executive oversight of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
- Champion enterprise initiatives focused on business continuity and workforce modernization.
- Foster cultures of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as strategic advisor to the CEO and Board.
