Summary
As a Valve Technician at Custom Valve Repair, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and performance of valves used in critical industrial applications. This role is vital to our mission of delivering exceptional service and support to our clients in Pennsylvania and surrounding states.
Job Description:
This position primarily works in the valve repair shop and is responsible for the following:
•Repair and evaluation of control valves, manual valves, safety valves and valve operators
•Calibrate and troubleshoot pneumatic and electronic valve controllers (positioners)
•Inspect, repair and test valve assemblies
•Execute general shop maintenance including storage and equipment cleanup, shipping / receiving
•All proper training will be provided to ensure efficiency and success as a Valve Repair Technician
Key Responsibilities:
•Tear down and troubleshooting of customer owned property for inspection, repair, reassembly and testing based on customer communications
•Assembly, test and paint of new or used valves
•Field service work as needed based on workload
Requirements:
•Basic computer skills preferred but not required
•Must have a Valid Driver’s License
•Pre-employment DOT Physical and Drug Screening
•Technical Certificate a plus
Skills and Abilities:
•Strong mechanical aptitude and experience
•Ability to perform in a team environment as well as alone with minimal supervision
•Ability to use basic hand tools safely
•Ability to read and write clearly
•Ability to read, understand and follow technical specifications for the assembly, tear down and repair of valve and valve accessories
•Welding and Machining experience
•Ability to communicate effectively with customers, visitors and other employees
Other Qualifications / Work Environment
•Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
•Ability to operate safely in a heavy equipment shop / plant environment
•Flexible / irregular shifts and hours
•Self-motivated, hands on and ambitious
•Attentive to detail; recognizing the importance of accuracy in testing and product preparation

•Hourly rates based upon experience
•Hourly rate increases for field service work
