Plans, organizes, and directs multiple complex utilities projects with the Capital Improvements Program for the Water Department under the supervision of the Manager of Capital Improvements.
The Utility Water/Wastewater engineer will assist with the implementation of water and wastewater projects under the supervision of the Director of Engineering Services.
1. Required: A bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major in civil engineering. Preference given to applicants with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a 4-year ABET accredited college or university.
2. 1-5 years of experience in water / wastewater / civil engineering
3. Registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado or have the ability to obtain registration within 6 months.
4. Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities will be considered.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines.
The performance of this position may require exposure to construction areas which may require the use of personal protective equipment such as hard hat and safety glasses.
