Utility/Plant Operator

Responsibilities & Expectations

•

Production:

+ Conduct in-process sample collection, testing, and recording as per the Quality Manual. + Monitor processing equipment and communicate any issues to the plant operator. + Inspect, load, and weigh bulk customer trucks as instructed. + Uphold high housekeeping standards in the loader, bulk loadout area, and dryer/plant systems.

Reporting:

+ Perform workplace exams and environmental inspections. + Document in-process quality results and report any issues to the operator. + Adhere to Safe Quality Food guidelines.

•

Inventorying:

+ Ensure the mini-lab is stocked with product testing equipment. + Maintain a supply of miscellaneous hardware for minor repairs in the control room.

•

Safety:

+ Participate in scheduled safety meetings and enforce safety policies. + Maintain a clean work environment and promote safety among peers. + Engage in the Behavior Based Safety program.

•

Backup:

+ Provide backup for any qualified position as assigned by the supervisor. + Be available to be backed up by any qualified team member as directed.

•

Other Duties:

+ Assist with or perform maintenance tasks as needed. + Comprehend and operate within Safe Quality Food certification parameters. + Undertake additional duties as assigned.
