What are the core responsibilities for the role?
•Support Project Managers and Engineers with engineering design tasks for various projects
•Perform civil engineering design and associated calculations and interpret plans from other engineering-related disciplines
•Apply technical expertise and be able to work with a project team on conventional and unconventional projects
•Perform independent research and delegate changing priorities
•Adhere to Horrocks safety standards to uphold a safe and efficient environment
•Work in a collaborative team environment and deliver accurate work product that is error-free
•Maintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrity
Qualifications, Skills, And Competencies
•B.S. in Civil Engineering – EIT a must
•3-4 years of experience in civil design is preferred. Entry-level candidates will be -considered
•Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
•Have a strong sense of urgency, time management, and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
•Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers
•Be able to develop designs and documentation using AutoCAD 3D Civil, MicroStation, and other design software
•Manage project data files from various sources
•Be proactive and responsive in effectively communicating with colleagues and clients, both in-person and virtually/remotely
• Ability to travel and obtain field data on occasion
•Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities
