THIS POSITION WILL BE REPRESENTED AS PART OF A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT UNIT.
Employees classified as HVAC Mechanic classification will trouble-shoot, repair and maintain window air-conditioning units, crane air conditioning units to the load side of the last disconnect and controls, water coolers, walk in coolers, chillers, chiller pumps, condenser control valves, refrigerators, ice machines, self-contained heat pumps and system that contain Freon, SRI or other refrigerant, including cold recovery and cold traps.

Must be able to wear company-provided respiratory and other personal protective equipment when required.

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Candidate must possess a minimum of five (5) documented years of HV AC related experience or as an equivalent, possess a Vocational School HV AC Certification plus two (2) years of HV AC related experience. Related experience must include electrical trouble-shooting and working from schematics. Applicants must have successfully passed and received a Universal Certification under EPA 608. Commercial HV AC related experience is preferred. Successful candidates will be responsible for performing heating, ventilation and air conditioning services, electrical trouble-shooting, and performing repairs as needed. All candidates must have a valid state driver's license and be able to operate both automatic and standard transmission vehicles.
