SERVICE TECHNICIAN HVAC

Job Description

Summary

P&E Mechanical is hiring qualified HVAC technicians to repair and install heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and residential customers.

· Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations, and be able to communicate fully to customer regarding what the issue is and needed correction.

· Travel to job sites in service area, and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer.

· Be available to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers.

· Maintain company vehicle.

· Identify and report to manager potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, add-on’s and additional services).

Qualifications and Skills

· Should have at least 2 years of HVAC service experience.

· Must be highly motivated, well presented, and personable.

· Should have TDLR card, and EPA license.

Requirements:

· Must be 21 with a High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred.

· Must have a valid driver’s license with a minimum of three (3) years driving history.

· Must have an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).

· Must be able to read and, perform calculations, input accurately, reason, and analyze.

· Function independently, completing a variety of tasks accurately and with close attention to detail in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

· Frequent driving is required.

· Will frequently walk, bend, squat, climb, and kneel.

· Requires working on roof tops and inside attics

· Occasional pushing, pulling, and reaching of objects and lifting of up to 75 pounds.
