In your role as Turf Applicator you will be responsible for the application of liquid & granular treatments for residential & commercial properties using ride on application equipment. 3OT certification required.
Objective: Pro-actively, support, coordinate, and communicate with Turf Manager to provide service to new and existing customers.
· Review Day’s schedule-Where do I go? (job site location), What are we doing? (tasks), How do I get there? (route/mapping). Ask all pertinent questions before leaving RJ Lawn and Landscape for the job site.
· Ensure that iPhones and iCREWtek are functioning properly and immediately report any issues to the Turf Manager and Admin staff.
· Park & secure truck at job site.
· Survey site and report questions & discrepancies in job scope or time allotment to Turf Manager as necessary.
· Report accidents or property damage to Turf Manager and office. Take pictures of any existing turf damage and provide to Turf Manager.
· Record all necessary time and materials for each task performed at each job site before leaving job site.
· Walk the property for quality before leaving jobsite.
· Remove any debris and unnecessary equipment at shop.
· Clean equipment and perform any prep work necessary for the next day.
· Adhere to and enforce all company polices as documented in Employee Handbook and Safety Manuals.
· Attend continuing education classes as required to maintain certifications.
· Actively recommend new processes and procedures on behalf of improving the company, its work environment, overall safety, increased productivity and customer satisfaction.
· Support and enforce RJ Lawn and Landscape core values (Honesty, Teamwork, Professionalism, Driven, and Brand).
· Operate machinery in a safe and effective manner.
· Competent in basic math skills and conversions.
· Legally drive company vehicles with valid Iowa driver’s license.
· Possess and maintain Iowa Class A Combination CDL (no air brakes).
· Possess and maintain 3OT - Ornamental and Turf Applicator certification.
· Possess and maintain Iowa Category 5 and 6 certification.
· Use required Personal Protective Equipment as necessary.
· Physically be able to perform the work.
· Bend, lift, and walk on uneven sloped or rough terrain.
