Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commercial Pesticide Applicator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate brings experience in landscape management, lawn care, and pest control—and is passionate about enhancing landscape health through safe, effective applications. This role involves applying treatments to turf and ornamentals, operating spray and power equipment, and working collaboratively to maintain high-quality standards across commercial job sites.
Key Responsibilities
•Apply fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and pesticides in compliance with state and safety regulations
•Conduct site inspections to diagnose turf or pest issues and recommend treatment solutions
•Operate and maintain application equipment including Z-Spray machines, backpack sprayers, and spreaders
•Safely mix, load, and calibrate chemical products according to label and site-specific requirements
•Operate power tools, hand tools, and farm machinery as needed
•Provide excellent customer service, communicating clearly with clients and internal team members
•Maintain application records, treatment logs, and product usage documentation in accordance with Texas Department of Agriculture standards
•Drive company truck and trailer safely to and from job sites, adhering to all traffic and safety rules
•Support overall landscape health through proactive monitoring and treatment recommendations
Qualifications
•Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in commercial lawn care or pesticide application
•Familiarity with Z-Spray equipment, calibration techniques, and application tools
•Valid Texas Pesticide Applicator License (or ability to obtain)
•Valid Texas Driver’s License with a clean driving record
•Strong working knowledge of turf pests, diseases, and weed identification
•Experience with power tools, hand tools, and farm equipment used in landscaping
•Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and record-keeping
•Sales or client interaction experience is a plus
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team
