About This Job

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:

Assist in job activities in the VESSELS/STRUCTURE/BOILER/PIPE departments under the supervision of the departmental leadsman and/or foreman.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•

Under supervision, assist in the planned daily work activities of the

VESSEL/STRUCTURE/BOILER/PIPE departments.

•

Participate in pre and post planned readiness of parts and tools, for planned maintenance activities.

•

Must participate in cleaning and grinding and installation of components parts for departmental related units (EX: CLEANING AND GRINDING OF WELDS, ASSISTING WELDERS IN BOTTLE CHANGES AND ALL CONSUMABLE NEEDS) as directed by departmental leadman and/or foreman.

•

Participate in housekeeping activities as directed by leadman and/or foreman.

•

Participate in regard to installation activities of components as directed by leadman and/or foreman.

•

Assist departmental team members in regard to completion of job functions as directed by the leadman and/or foreman.

•

Perform minor building and site maintenance such as painting and minor repairs, which could include door lock replacements or door repairs.

•

Complete knowledge of departmental safety policies (EX: PROPER USE OF HAND TOOLS AND THE PURPOSE OF SAFETY DEVICES).

•

Participate in operational Excellence teams.

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

•

Ability to work any shift.

•

Ability to read and interpret tape measure and/or measuring devices.

•

Ability to use numerous hand tool (POWERED AND MANUAL).

•

Must not be claustrophobic

•

Must be able to lift 75#

OTHER JOB DUTIES:

•

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
