What you can expect to do in this position:

Responsibilities:

1. Able to pick up and deliver material in an orderly and timely manner

2. Follow safe and proper use of company owned property and proper handling methods at vendors

3. Receiving of material from vendors, breaking down skids, verifying counts and part numbers are correct, staging for next process and labeling as required

4. Assist the shipping receiving clerk/leader in any way needed

5. Provide shipping documents and assure accurate shipments are made to vendors

6.Keep department clean and organized including following department 5S requirements

7.Obey and practice all safety procedures and properly use LOTO and wear required PPE

8. Search for continuous improvements in all areas

9. Be alert and inform plant manager of any mechanical or safety issues with company truck or van

10, Wash wax and maintain the company truck as needed

11. Any other duties that management may deem necessary

Requirements:

1. Must be able to walk stand and sit for 8 to 12hrs per day with up to 3 breaks

2. Must be capable of heavy lifting at times up to 100lbs

3. Must be able to bend, lift, and twist at the waist approximately 1500 times per shift

4. Must be able to lift 40lb carton frequently and occasionally over the head

5. Must be able to wrap and band skids as needed

6. Must be capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions

7. Must have valid chauffer's license and safe driving record

8. No smoking allowed in company vehicles

9. Must follow all safety practices including able to pass and obtain a hilo license

10. Must keep department clean including practicing 5S workplace organization skills
