Pittman Power is a trusted leader in electrical testing and maintenance solutions. We are expanding our professional team and looking for a skilled Transformer Testing Specialist to help deliver exceptional service and technical expertise to our customers.
Role Overview:
As a Transformer Testing Specialist, you will be responsible for the testing, diagnosis, maintenance, and troubleshooting of power transformers and related equipment. In addition to testing and inspections, you will make necessary repairs to transformers in the field, including replacing components, performing oil processing, fixing leaks, executing electrical repairs, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of electrical systems for our diverse clientele.
Responsibilities:
•Perform electrical testing, maintenance, and inspections on power transformers and associated equipment
•Make repairs to transformers in the field, such as replacing components, performing oil processing, fixing leaks, and completing electrical repairs
•Interpret test results to diagnose equipment condition and recommend corrective actions
•Document all testing procedures, repairs, and results according to company and industry standards
•Work with clients and internal teams to coordinate site visits, testing schedules, repairs, and service delivery
•Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during field assignments
•Stay current with industry best practices and safety regulations
Requirements:
•Proven experience in transformer or electrical equipment testing, maintenance, and field repairs
•Knowledge of transformer test equipment and diagnostic tools (Doble, Megger, power factor, insulation resistance, etc.)
•Experience with transformer repairs such as component replacement, oil processing, and leak repairs
•Understanding of electrical safety procedures and standards
•Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•Willingness to travel locally and work in a field environment
•Valid driver’s license required
