Rick’s Oilfield Hauling is seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic to join our growing Mechanical Division. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience inspecting, maintaining, and repairing trailers to ensure all equipment is safe, reliable, and field-ready.
- Inspect trailers for wear, defects, and structural issues
- Perform routine maintenance including brake adjustments, tire replacements, and lubrication
- Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Utilize schematics and manuals to troubleshoot complex issues
- Operate power and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and parts used
- Occasionally perform road service calls using a service truck in remote Alberta locations
- Level 1 or higher Journeyman Trailer/Truck Mechanic certification (required)
- Prior experience in trailer maintenance or a related mechanical field
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong understanding of brake systems, suspension, and electrical wiring
- Forklift operation experience considered an asset
- Class 1 driver’s licence preferred; minimum Class 5 with clean abstract required
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
