The truck mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of mobile equipment such as trucks and trailers, including their upkeep, repair, and refurbishment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy vehicles and mobile equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective inspections according to company standards.
- Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct functional tests to ensure proper operation of the equipment.
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the safety and efficiency of operations.
- Training: DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent training.
- Requirement: PEP card.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in heavy vehicle mechanics.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficient in hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Computer Skills: Ability to use computerized diagnostic tools.
- Driver’s License
- Safety: Knowledge of occupational health and safety (OHS) standards and adherence to safety protocols.
- Permanent full-time position
- Evening schedule: Monday to Thursday – 2:30 PM to 1:30 AM
- $1 premium for the evening shift
- Overtime paid after 40 hours
