We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Traffic Coordinator with our Chemical Manufacturing Facility located in Deer Park, Texas . The primary function of the Traffic Coordinator is to coordinate with Corporate Customer Service and Supply Chain on matters related to PVC, KOH & NaOH production, shipping, product quality issues, etc.

Responsibilities include:

- Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and or transport our products, as our highest priority.

- Support the Process Safety and Risk Management goals and objectives. Participate in site-wide Process Safety and Risk Reduction activities as requested. Look for opportunities to be the ‘fresh set of eyes’ in this area.

- Actively participate in plant wide training to support quality and safety needs including ISO, OSHA VPP.

- Provide attention to detail, and dedication to work in order to ensure reliability of the work site as well as high quality product.

- Ensure that you and others are respected, supported and encouraged to grow and succeed in their job.

- Coordinate with Corporate Customer Service and Supply Chain on matters related to PVC, KOH & NaOH production, making shipments on time, product quality issues, etc.

- Process PVC bulk truck and PVC scrap shipments to meet customers’ requirements – select product to be shipped, prepare and distribute bills of lading and post goods issue in SAP.

- Post production, shipments and manage raw materials for the KOH area.

- Manage inventories and post shipments for the plant NaOH tank farm.

- Maintain the accuracy of the finished goods inventory in SAP.

- Control plant site rail car inventory in order to meet shipping requirements and to ensure production has adequate storage of product.

- Maintain data for PVC and Caustic rail cars in SAP, RailTrac and YardMaster.

- Arrange for repairs and/or shipping of PVC and Caustic rail cars.

- Coordinate investigation of customer complaints with appropriate personnel.

- Review and process logistics related invoices

- Maintain supply of label stock and print OSHA labels and tags for PVC and Caustic shipments.

- Maintain shipping retention records per corporate policy and DOT regulations.

- Perform end of month closing tasks as assigned for all DPPVC/KOH units.

- Provide back-up for other DP Logistics personnel.

- Provide support to Marketing Group by ensuring trial sample quality and quantity is shipped to prospective new customers.

- Keep abreast of and comply with all applicable Department of Transportation regulations, including hazardous materials regulations.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and good working knowledge of SAP.

- Demonstrates the ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision, exercises initiative and judgment and makes decisions within the scope of assigned authority.

- Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

- Good communication and organizational skills and handle difficult situations efficiently.

- Must be able to respond to off hour emergencies.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to read, write and speak in English.

- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.

- Ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis.

- Physical requirements – Must be able to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
