Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Traffic Controller to oversee and manage the flow of traffic at construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of workers and the public while coordinating vehicle movement. This role requires a strong understanding of construction operations and the ability to operate various machinery as needed.

Responsibilities

- Direct and control traffic flow around construction sites to ensure safety and efficiency

- Conduct utility locating to prevent damage to underground utilities during construction activities.

- Collaborate with construction teams to facilitate smooth operations on-site.

- Maintain clear communication with team members and other stakeholders regarding traffic conditions and site activities.

- Monitor site conditions and report any hazards or issues that may affect safety or workflow.

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols on-site.

- Stand for long periods

- Lift up to 50lbs

Requirements

- Proven experience in traffic control or a related field within the construction industry.

- Strong understanding of construction site operations and safety standards.

- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Attention to detail with a focus on safety and efficiency.

- Valid driver's license is preferred.

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
