Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking a Traffic Control Flagger / General Laborer with experience to support our Western Kentucky Construction team. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.

Job Details:

Western Kentucky Construction – Rogers Group – Hopkinsville, KY

Day Shift – Full Time

Pay: Starting at $22.00 per hour. Candidates may be eligible for higher base pay depending on experience and skill set.

Job Responsibilities:

- General Labor and Traffic Control Duties as assigned

- Setup silt fencing

- Tape off construction hazards

- Operate heavy equipment as needed

- Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies. Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.

- Use hand tools for grading and paving/milling operations

- Responsible for setting up lane closures on high traffic projects in accordance with MUTCD regulations and at the direction of Traffic Control Coordinator.

- Help manage and direct the flow of traffic using stop/slow paddles, hand signals, and flags in accordance with trained procedures.

- Operate TMA Truck – driving to and from work site and manning vehicle at the entry to lane closures.

- Assist the construction and paving crew with labor tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

- Must be dedicated to working safely at all times.

- Experience preferred working road construction in high traffic areas.

- Preference given to current ATSSA Traffic Control Technician Certification holders.

- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and nights when necessary.

- Team player.

- Willing to be trained to flag/regulate traffic in accordance with MUTCD guidelines.

- Willing to assist crew with manual labor duties, as needed.

- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record Required!

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust, etc.).

- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time throughout the workday.

- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

- Must be able to climb in and out of vehicles and equipment safely.

- Must have sufficient hand-eye coordination to operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely.

- Must be able to remain alert and attentive for extended periods, particularly when directing or controlling traffic in high-risk environments.
