TPM Tech Writer
Summary Of Duties
Assists and support the development implementation of TPM and LEAN
manufacturing practices, preventative maintenance packages, work
instructions, job safety analysis, standard operating procedures,
operator safety checks, equipment documentation and LOTO procedures.
Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities
• Familiarity with JIT, LEAN, TPM, Six-S, and six-sigma philosophies
and practices.
• Computer familiarity with Microsoft Office and other general
programs Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, Explorer, and
Photo Suite programs, Web, etc. and type 40 WPM.
• Work with other sub-contractors to accomplish assigned projects and
tasks.
• Work with operator manuals, prints, procedures, and personnel in the
search required information.
• Experience or schooling in electronics, mechanical or in a technical
field is a plus.
• Proactive in tasks and projects while promoting efficiencies by
using time management techniques.
• Familiarity with general hand tools and their safe use.
• General-purpose maintenance tasks, painting, hanging wall objects,
general cleanup, carpentry, plumbing, lighting, and floor care.
• Willing to perform other miscellaneous job related duties as
required within your skill sets.
• Self motivated and self driven to accomplish quality tasks and
assignments in a timely manner working with little or no
supervision.
Other Essential Functions / Duties
• Ensures compliance with all company / customer regulations,
policies, and procedures.
• Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance
appraisals to include employee development planning.
• Communications with all team members to support the development of
short and long range planning in support of the companys goals and
objectives
• Maintain personal tools required for your job to include an up to
date documented personal tool lists. Required tool listing to be
supplied as part of employment.

• Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
• Accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not
limited to, time accounting and work order completion.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
•REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education and/or
Experience):
• Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical
school; or four to five years experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Needs little supervision, can work in multiple trades alone, is
adept at training others.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
of an organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of
measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and
interpret bar gra hs.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of
concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization
exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written,
oral, diagram, or schedule form.
