TORQUE AND TEST OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SCOPE:

Velocity Testing Services, LLC is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Torque and Test Operator located in Dickinson, ND.

The Torque and Test Operator position will be responsible for operating and maintaining hydraulic torque equipment. This includes the operation of a torque wrench and hydrostatic testing equipment. All work will be performed in accordance with applicable guidelines, Company safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

- Assist with all operations at well sites and in the shop

- Travel to and from customer job sites, keep tasks on track per client timeline

- Perform static torque checks and report torque & test failures

- Clean, maintain, diagnose, and perform on-site repairs to tools and equipment

- Track, record, and monitor bolting tension and torquing hydro testing

- Perform daily inspections, identify potential hazards, and report any equipment defects or damage to leadership

- Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications

- Maintain records for the overall operation to include job safety analysis forms, job tickets, and assigned equipment

- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required

- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness

- Performs other job-related duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

- Must be able to work in fast-paced environment

- Must possess organizational and problem-solving skills

- Must be able to work with a team

- Must be able to lift 60 lbs. and handle physically demanding work

- Must be able to communicate using oral and basic written communication

- Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol screening and participate in the random testing pool

- Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record check

- Ability to follow FMCSA and DOT rules and regulations

- Maintain proper cleanliness of assigned equipment

BACKGROUND:

- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)

- Must be 21 years of age or older

- Minimum one (1) year experience as a test & torque operator or similar position

- Must be able to meet criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

- Valid Driver’s License

- Clean MVR
