Torch Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Torch Operator to join our scrap yard team.

Responsibilities

- Extract catalytic converters along with other non-ferrous materials

- Ensure all materials are properly segregated

- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and tracking the movement of materials

- Foster positive relationships with customers and vendors to encourage repeat business and maintain a positive reputation in the industry.

- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yard operations.

- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including enforcing safety protocols and ensuring that all employees are adhering to environmental regulations.

- Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

- Ability to work as a team and independently

- Strong communication, interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

- Knowledge of non-ferrous materials and their value

- Ability to follow safety guidelines and regulations

- Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yards

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
