Bauer Welding is currently hiring an experienced Toolmaker to join our team!
1st shift Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Pay range - $23.60 - $39.34

Major Responsibilities:
•Use your knowledge and skills to participate in Complex tool designs and reviews
•Examines standard or previously used dies, tools, jigs, fixtures, and recommends design modifications regarding construction and function of part.
•Build, repair and maintain medium & long run progressive stamping tooling
•Utilize technical drawings, blueprints, sketches, or CAD models to build and assemble dies and form tools
•Use CAD/CAM software to program CNC machining center and wire EDM
•Set-up and operate CNC machining center and wire EDM, manual mill, lathe, drill, surface grinders
•Conducts test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications; make adjustments as necessary.
•Troubleshoot and resolve tooling relating issues
•Troubleshoots tools in press.
•Works with Press Operators on set up of tools in press.
Other Responsibilities:
•Inspection of parts using a variety of measuring tools
•Maintain confidentiality of customer information in blue prints used or designed by Bauer
•Adhere to all safety policies
•Maintain commitment to safety, ethics and professionalism
Desired Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills /Abilities:
•2 Year Machine Tool or Tool & Die Certificate Minimum 5 years Tool & Die Metal Stamping experience
•Complete understanding of concepts of tool and die applications
•Capable of programming CNC Machining Centers and Wire EDM
•Progressive Tool Design experience preferred
Physical Requirements and Environment:
•May require frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
•Some time working near moving mechanical parts
•Majority of time standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, carrying, pushing, pulling
•Handling, speaking, hearing, seeing, color vision, depth perception
•Rotation of more physically demanding regular parts, which may include long-term runs
•Machine shop environment
•Frequent exposure to chemicals, dirt, oils, solvents, paints, dust
•Eye, hand, and hearing protection are required in the production area (employer-provided)
•Must pass a pre-placement drug screen before starting employment
