Tooling Technician

TOOLING TECHNICIAN with WAREHOUSE FUNCTIONS

DMC Power manufactures connectors and installation tooling for the electrical utility industry. The work environment office suite with attached warehouse in New Castle, DE. Specific work involves mechanical hand tools, electrical and hydraulics, warehouse duties, along with some clerical functions. We are willing to accept experienced as well as less experienced candidates who have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities:

- 75% duties - Rental department technician. Clean and maintain hand tools associated with rental department. Basic tool assembly, testing and repair associated with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic tools.

- 25% duties – Pull orders, shipping/receiving, physical inventory and opportunities to learn company software. Coordinate with customers via phone and email. Shipping documentation and quotes.

NOTE: Job requires approximately 1% (or less) of material handling utilizing a forklift.

Work Environment:

- Clean office suite with attached warehouse.

- We are an ISO company.

- Some customer interaction

- Intermittent periods of physical exertion such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward, is required.

- Environment is typically comfortable but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery and loud noise.

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or GED required.

- 2+ years of equivalent experience preferred.

- Fluent in English.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

- Positive attitude a must. We are willing to train positive, capable candidates about our tooling and processes.

- Mechanical aptitude and desire to work on tool maintenance and construction.

- Must be self-motivated and willing to motivate others.

- Extremely focused and detail-oriented.

- Good communication skills both oral and written

- Proficient with Microsoft Office products and email.

- Knowledge of, or capable of learning, manufacturing software.

- Able to lift 50 lbs.

- Job requires approximately 1% (or less) of material handling utilizing a forklift.
